On the site of an old evergreen tree which was dangerously close to the house and the church and which had to be taken down, we decided to erect a shrine to Our Blessed Lady, Mother of Divine Grace. Parishioners built the shrine and it has since been planted with donations of flowers and plants all associated with Our Blessed Mother to create a Mary Garden. Do come and visit our shrine and pray for Our Lady’s motherly intercession. The shrine was formally blessed by Rt. Rev. Stephen Robson on Sunday 12th November 2017. On that Sunday, Remembrance Sunday, parishioners gathered outside for the blessing and then placed memorial crosses in the garden in remembrance of our beloved dead, together they prayed the De Profundis for all the faithful departed and especially those who have lost their lives in wars or conflicts, asking Our Lady, Queen of Peace, to intercede for peace in the world. Above are a few pictures of the shrine in its early days, more will be added in due course…
